Trip to Minnesota with the Girls!

Lets take a trip to Minnesota and really make it a challenge. So let's take the four oldest Grand-daughters and make it 9 days long, that should be a challenge. Well we did it! And we made it a lot of fun while doing it. Here are a few of our memories. We are missing a picture of the Mall of America which was one of the group favorites but you will still get most of the pictures of the trip events. What more can we do? How about seeing the house our Daddy's lived in when they were in Minnesota. And also, can we change hotels to stay where they have the largest indoor Water Park in America!!

While Breana and Caroline are off visiting their cousins in White Bear Lake, Katie and Zoe visit Lake Harriet for a quick swim before going over to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Museum. Lots to see and do in Minneapolis but we are running out of time and need to get to LeRoy for the big event.

It's always cool to stay with Great Grandpa and Great Grandma. It's especially fun to take a ride with Great Grandpa on his new golf cart that he shares (?) with Don and Judy.

The main purpose of the trip was to attend the wedding of Stephanie and Chad. And while the wedding was pretty the big fun is always at the dance after the wedding. Grandpa had to pay for several dollar dances with both the Bride and the Groom!
Before we left for Duluth, Grandma Barb agreed to make cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Here's Barb leading the cooks in preparation of the rolls the night before we left. The rolls were great!

On the last full day of our trip we visited Gooseberry falls. It's located North of Duluth and a short hike from the road back to the falls. Taking us there were cousins Brin and Ani. They always make a trip to Minnesota and especially Duluth really special. On this trip Brin had a friend Arie join us. The girls all posed for us at the falls. As you can see from the jackets it was a little cool that day (about 50 degrees and raining).

We had a nice drive back to Minneapolis for our flight to Jacksonville. All of the girls agreed we should do this every summer. Caroline wants to go to China, Breana wants Canada and Zoe and Katie agreed Hawaii would be the next best location for next years trip.

Upon our arrival back in Jacksonville one of the first to greet us was the 5th Grand-daughter Anna. She made sure she told Grandma that she had grown up during our trip. It was to make sure Linda knew that the next trip she would be old enough and big enough to go along with us and the rest of the girls.
